The Salmon Arm RCMP has requested the public’s assistance locating a vehicle linked to a possible case of domestic assault which occurred Sunday Morning.
Witnesses reported a man and woman fighting and yelling at each other in the vicinity of 50 Trans-Canada Highway in Salmon Arm.
Witnesses said the man got into his grey 2015 Ford F-150 pick-up truck at some point during the altercation and backed into an unoccupied vehicle. The truck’s licence plate number is BC licence # JX3381.
The woman was seen inside the truck as it sped away from the scene, Eastbound on the Trans-Canada Highway.
A police officer saw the vehicle after it had left the scene but the driver would not stop. An RCMP helicopter was dispatched but failed to locate the vehicle.
According to an RCMP press release: “It is unclear at this time whether the woman got into the vehicle of her own volition. Efforts to locate the man who is from the Lower Mainland area are continuing.”
“We would like to speak to both parties in this matter order to establish the woman’s well being,” said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.
Both the woman and the man involved have been identified by the RCMP Moskaluk said.
