Police seized scales, cell phones, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in a search of a Colwood home Nov. 1.

Around 8 p.m., West Shore RCMP Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant in the 3300 block of Pattison Way. Five males were arrested, four were later released with no charges being considered at this time.

Police are seeking charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and breach of probation on a youth related charge, against a Colwood 18-year-old. He is to appear in court Nov. 22 at Western Communities Provincial Courthouse.

“This is the 3rd search warrant for drugs that has been executed at this home,” said A/Sgt. Kathy Rochlitz in a news release. One was executed in March 2011, yielding more than a pound of pot along with crack cocaine, psilocybin and other drug related property.

In October 2011, police seized cash, cocaine and marijuana.

West Shore RCMP reminds the public to report suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods.

“We need the public to be our eyes and ears and help us by reporting suspicious activity,” Rochlitz said. “Such information, can help us further our investigations.”
