Another charity event has been cancelled by the COVID-19 pandemic, with the RCMP pulling the plug on the 2020 Stuff the Cruiser campaign.
Stuff the Cruiser is an annual event held to support local Salvation Army and Upper Fraser Valley food banks in their efforts to aid families in need.

Last year’s fundraiser, held in four communities — Chilliwack, Agassiz, Hope and Boston Bar — collected nearly 19,000 pounds of non-perishable groceries, along with $9,000 in cash donations. Chilliwack alone accounted for 15,400 pounds of food and $2,658.

Save-on-Foods and Super Valu stores are still accepting cash donations for the food banks throughout the holiday season.
In Chilliwack, the Save-on-Foods locations are 46020 Yale Road, 31-6014 Vedder Road and 45635 Tamihi Way.
In Hope, the Save-on-Foods is at 559 Old Hope-Princeton Highway and Agassiz’s Super Valu is at 7024 Cheam.
“The RCMP would like to thank the communities in the Upper Fraser Valley for their support over the last number of years,” said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mike Rail. “Your generosity has made a difference at this challenging time of year.”
