With events happening periodically throughout April, three year olds and their families are being encouraged to attend the Ready, Set, Learn program happening in schools all over the district.
The Ministry of Education is funding the program in communities all over British Columbia that aims to support preschool-aged children’s learning through play-based early learning activities. At each event, families can find out about the early learning programs and services offered by School District 52 to ensure that their children are successful with their education.
The first event will occur at Pineridge Elementary School on Tuesday, April 17, from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the StrongStart room.
Then the following day, on Wednesday, April 18, there will be another event, this time at Conrad Elementary School in the StrongStart room from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Families learning near Roosevelt can attend the Ready, Set, Learn event that will take place on Tuesday, April 24 from 10:30 a.m. to noon in The Hub.
Then, on Thursday, April 26 from 10:30 to noon there will be an event at Lax Kxeen in the StrongStart room.
Families living in Port Edward will also get an opportunity to partake on Friday, April 27, from 10:30 to noon in the Library.
There will also be an event in Hartley Bay on Monday, April 30 starting at 1 p.m. and running until 3 p.m.
Lunch will be provided at all of the Ready, Set, Learn events.
