Real estate sales remain active in the North Okanagan.

There were 143 overall units sold in March, up 32.4 per cent from 108 units during the same month in 2013.

For total residential units, there were 132 sales, up 36.1 per cent from 97 units. Of these, there were 90 single-family home sales, up 73.1 per cent from 52 in March 2013. The days to sell dipped to 117 from 132.

“Moving into spring, we are hopeful that activity will pick up as the weather improves and buyers are spurred by the drop in long-term mortgage rates,” said Darcy Griffiths, Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board president.

“Considering that all aspects favour buyers, now is the time to get into the market while there is still a good selection of properties to choose from.  Despite a declining inventory, prices remain stable with more balanced market conditions, and low interest rates continue to be available.”
