Multi-Material B.C. has selected Emterra Environmental to manage the North Okanagan’s curbside recycling collection services effective May 19.
MMBC, a stewardship group made up of major retailers and producers, will take over collection and recycling of packaging under provincial regulations.
According to MMBC, communities will be able to recycle new categories of packaging starting in May, including milk cartons, foam packaging, plant pots, aluminum foil packaging, certain types of plastic film packaging and drink cups.
