The Fifth Annual Arts, Health and Wellness Expo 2011 is gearing up for the New Year, and will be held on on Saturday, Feb. 5 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Clearwater Secondary School.
“This year we will have a Valentines Day theme of red and white,” says organizer Cindy Wilgosh, “We are encouraging our participants to come prepared to decorate their booths for the event.”
Wilgosh noted there will be secret judges wandering around throughout the day, and the best decorated exhibitor’s space will win a free booth for the 2012 Wellness Expo event.
The Wellness Expo goals are to provide and create community health and wellness partnerships, to provide lifestyle choices, and to provide awareness of services and businesses in the Valley.
Non-profit service groups are also encouraged to take part, to display pamphlets and information about their group, and to chat with the public. The cost for a spot for such groups is $20 and they are requested to bring their own card table.
All other participants pay $50 for a 10×10 booth, with chairs provided for all; and tables provided only for out-of-town businesses, all others are asked to bring their own.
Wilgosh gives a reminder to all participants, “An Interior Health permit and Food Safe certificate is a must for any booths wishing to use food at their booth. Also, a lottery license will be needed and must be displayed at the booth if you are having any money raffles.”
The deadline for registering a booth is Jan. 31. After that time, if there is any remaining space available, the fee will be $75.
