Fernie favourite RedGirl will delight audiences with a free, holiday themed performance on Thursday night.
The local band will take the stage at The Arts Station as part of Fernie’s What the Dickens winter festival. Frontwoman Anie Hepher will also lead the Fernie Ukulele Orchestra in their very first performance as the opening act.
The orchestra, featuring 30 young ukulele players, will play in the lobby of The Arts Station from 7:30 p.m. until 7:50 p.m. RedGirl will get the main event started at 8 p.m. on the main stage.
While everyone is welcome to come check out the Ukulele Orchestra at no cost, a ticket is required to stay for RedGirl’s show.
While admission is free, there’s only a limited amount of space available. Just 90 tickets can be picked up at The Arts Station prior to the concert. Donations will be welcome, with all of the proceeds going to the Earl family, in support of two-year-old Lily Earl’s ongoing leukemia treatment.
