Remembering the fallen

Rutland's annual Remembrance Day service at Lions Park recognized the sacrifices made by Canadian military around the world.

Several hundred people were on hand for the Remembrance Day service in Rutland Wednesday morning.

The service, held at Lions Park, was one of several in Kelowna on Remembrance Day.  A procession was held before and after the service with representatives from all aspects of the Kelowna community, and wreaths were laid at the foot of the cenotaph in memory of the sacrifices made by Canadian military personnel since the end of World War 1 in 1919.
