Ridge RCMP still investigating home invasion

Ridge Meadows RCMP continue to investigate a home invasion during which a firearm was discharged.

The incident took place just before 10 p.m. on Nov. 29, in the 28300-block of 96 Avenue, east Maple Ridge.

Four suspects were arrested and charged.

Investigators believe one of the suspects received a ride from somewhere near the scene in Whonnock to the Esso gas station and 7-Eleven store, on the Lougheed Highway at the Haney Bypass, said Cpl. Brenda Winpenny.

“Police are hoping to learn the identity of the person who provided the ride, and speak with that individual,” she added.

“If you are that person, or if you know who that person was, it is requested you contact police as soon as possible.”

• Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cpl. David Grey of the Serious Crimes Unit at 604-467-7693, or email rm.inquiries@rcmp-grc.gc.ca and quote file No.  2016-28486.
