Hosmer has done it again, gaining fame for unusual and humorous goings on which have become the pattern there. This time a former Hosmer Mayor has made it into Ripley’s Believe it or Not. The ex-mayor of course is Darcy Burke’s dog Granville, who beat out all competitors in the Hosmer elections last fall.
Charges that the vote was affected by some machinations of Fernie Rotary Club have been vehemently denied by that organization.
A Toronto news station telephoned to find out just where Hosmer is, since its staff had pursued dozens of maps in a vain attempt to find the town with a dog for a mayor.
Granville Burk is a beagle and, at the Hosmer election in October, received 65,008 votes.
