Two men, including one from Lake Country, are in custody and facing robbery charges after several Kelowna businesses were allegedly robbed this past month.
On April 7 the Booster Juice at Gordon Drive and Harvey Avenue was robbed by a man wielding a crow bar.
The man obtained a small amount of cash and fled the scene on foot.
A police service dog searched the area but was unable to locate the suspect.
On April 21, the Subway on Leckie Road was robbed at knife-point. Again, the man obtained a small amount of cash and fled on foot. A track of the man ended in negative results.
And on April 25, Domino’s Pizza on Sutherland Avenue was robbed at knife-point after the Source Adult Video store was robbed by a man with a screwdriver. The two robberies were conducted within hours of each other. The investigation led to the arrest of a 46-year-old Kamloops man and a 25-year-old Lake Country man.
Josh Charles, 25, turned himself in to police in Lake Country on April 25 while Garrett Taylor, 46, of Kamloops, was arrested at the Greyhound bus depot in Kelowna the following day. Both men were held in custody and are scheduled to appear in court again Tuesday.
Taylor has been charged with a single count and Charles has been charged with four counts of robbery.
