Two Okanagan men are in custody and facing charges relating to an alleged robbing spree.
Josh Charles, 25, turned himself in to police in Lake Country April 26 for a robbery, while Garrett Taylor, 46, was arrested at the Greyhound bus depot in Kelowna the following day. Both men were held in custody and are scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, with Taylor facing a single count and Charles facing four counts of robbery.
The first robbery happened at Booster Juice at Gordon Drive and Harvey Avenue April 7.
The crowbar wielding man, obtained a small amount of cash and fled the scene on foot. A police service dog searched the area but was unable to locate the suspect, said Const. Kris Clark.
Next, the Subway on Leckie Road was robbed at knife-point April 21. Again, the man obtained a small amount of cash and fled on foot.
“A track of the man ended in negative results,” said Clark.
Next, on April 25, Domino’s Pizza on Sutherland Avenue was robbed at knife-point after the Source Adult Video store was robbed by a man with a screwdriver.
“The Domino’s pizza and Source Adult robberies were conducted within hours of each other,” said Clark. “The investigation led to the arrest of a 46 year old Kamloops man and a 25 year old Lake Country man.”
