Fraser Valley Building Supplies has acquired RONA and have expansion plans, according to a press release signed by FVBS president Ray Cyr.
Cyr said that they will open a new 10,000-square-feet location with a two-acre-yard in spring 2018 near Old Hope Princeton Way to replace its current Fifth Avenue store.
“This acquisition fits our growth strategy by providing a good balance of products to both the contractor and retail communities and is another exciting step as we expand our network over the coming years,” said Cyr. “The Hope Rona commands a loyal customer base and has committed long term employees who will ensure a healthy transition and continued success as we move forward.”
Cyr expects an expanded line of products for contractors as well as retail products as a result of the expansion.
