Rotary Richard says ice is gone

Eleanor Collins wins prize for having the best guess as to when the ice would leave Dutch Lake

Sandy Mackenzie (l), president of Clearwater Rotary Club, presents Eleanor Collins with $500 in gift certificates from Buy-Low. Collins won the prize by being closest to guess when Rotary Richard’s clock would stop, signifiying that the ice had officially gone out from Dutch Lake.

This year the clock stopped at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 19 – three days earlier than the previous earliest date of March 22.
