Planned aerial spaying around Elk Lake and into Central Saanich and the District of Saanich has been delayed.
Set for Monday, May 15, the spraying was set to try to eradicate invasive gypsy moths from around the lake and Bear Hill Regional Park. The province, through the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, announced late Sunday that due to inclement weather, the spraying would be delayed.
In a media release, the Ministry says the aerial spraying will be rescheduled to “allow for optimum weather and operational conditions.”
