A White Rock man who was reported missing last week has been found deceased.
Const. Shaileshni Molison released the update regarding 58-year-old Eric Huemer Monday morning.
“Mr. Huemer was located in South Surrey and is confirmed deceased,” Molison announced in a news release.
She did not disclose exactly when or where Huemer was found, or the cause of death.
Huemer’s family has requested privacy at this time.
Huemer – also known as Rick – was reported missing to the police one week ago.
He had last been seen leaving Peace Arch Hospital on Sunday, May 3, and had not had contact with family or friends since the day before.
Molison thanked Surrey RCMP, Surrey Search and Rescue, media and the public for their assistance.
The B.C. Coroner’s Service is investigating.
