Search continues for missing Cumberland man

The Comox Valley RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in locating a missing man.

The Comox Valley RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing man.

Sixty-five year old Jamie Sproule was reported missing from his residence on Comox Lake Road, in Cumberland, B.C. when he failed to return home from a walk.

Sproule departed his residence at approximately 1 p.m. on May 22.

Comox Valley Search and Rescue were called out and assisted with approximately 40 searchers, including some from Campbell River as well as an RCMP police dog, and two Search and Rescue Dogs from Comox and Campbell River. 
Sproule suffers from dementia and Parkinson’s, and may have difficulty speaking.

Sproule is described as:

•     6’3″

•    200 lbs

•    last seen wearing a grey Stanfield wooly work vest

•    khaki canvas pants

•    black runners

Cumberland locals are asked to check their properties, including sheds, boats and under tarps.
