Trail RCMP is seeking public assistance in locating missing person 48 year old Neva Evdokimoff, who was reported missing by her family on Wednesday May 25.

Search continues for Neva Evdokimoff

Police are seeking the public's help with any clues as to her whereabouts and are asking them to search their own properties.

The search for Neva Evdokimoff continues with search and rescue teams from Castlegar, Arrow Lakes, Creston, Cranbrook, Kimberley, South Columbia and Nelson joining together to try and locate the woman who was last seen Tuesday.

The search is centered around Gyro Park in Trail, BC where her vehicle was located and surveillance video showed her coming and going from her vehicle several times before disappearing from the camera’s view, but has expanded to include Sunningdale and East Trail.

The following Press Release was issued on Saturday:

As of 8:00 a.m. on May 28, 2016 search and rescue have expanded their search for the missing woman, Neva Evdokimoff. As part of this expanded search, search and rescue volunteers will be searching the urban areas near surrounding Gyro park in Trail, mainly East Trail and Sunningdale. These volunteers will be clearly identified by search and rescue vests or clothing and they will be knocking on doors requesting to search in people’s front and back yards.

Police and search and rescue are also asking that people who live in that area assist by searchingtheir own yards as well. Look in sheds, under boats and any area of the property that a personwould be able to hide.

As part of the expanded search effort, their are watercraft, ATV’s, mountain bikers and air craftand over 70 volunteers from various search and rescue teams including Rossland, Grand Forks,Kimberly, Castlegar, Arrow Lakes, Nelson, South Columbia, Creston, Cranbrook search andrescue now involved in the search.

Trail RCMP is seeking public assistance in locating missing person 48 yr old Neva Evdokimoff, who was reported missing by her family on Wednesday May 25.

The Trail RCMP was advised on May 25, 2016, that Neva EVDOKIMOFF left her family’s residence in Shore Acres at 0830hrs on May 24, 2016. Neva was supposed to be driving home to her residence located in Kelowna, B.C. After repeated attempts to contact Neva by cell phone failed, her family reported her missing the next day on May 25, 2016. Cell phone information indicated Neva’s phone was active in the Trail area, and local RCMP members began searching for Neva and her vehicle.

The Trail RCMP has located Neva’s vehicle in the parking lot at Gyro Park in Trail and video surveillance in the area revealed that Neva parked her vehicle there at approximately 1130hrs on May 24, 2016, 3 hrs after leaving Shore Acres. Neva was last seen walking toward to the beach area at Gyro Park.

Search and rescue are currently conducting a search of the area where Neva was last seen.

Neva’s family and police are very concerned about her well-being. Anyone who has seen Neva is urged to immediately contact the Trail RCMP at 250-364-2566 or if she is seen please immediately contact 911.
