Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue plucked a cold and stranded jet skier from a Maple Ridge lake on Monday.
Police said Thanksgiving dinners were interrupted after a man on a Sea-doo ran out of gas on Alouette Lake.
Search and rescue volunteers reached the man who was suffering from mild hypothermia and transported him back to shore via boat.
Monday’s rescue was the fifth call for service in the span of a week.
The volunteer crew was busy last week assisting police with a search for Anita Young, a 43-year-old Maple Ridge woman who remains missing.
Earlier in the week, search team members responded to a call on the Pitt River.
