A decision on a rezoning application for a pellet plant will be delayed.
While it had been thought a final decision would be made Tuesday, Oct. 8, regarding the zoning change on Aylmer Road that would be needed to allow the proposed Pinnacle pellet plant to set up shop in Chase, council has decided to wait.
Council has instead set in motion plans for a second public hearing, one which would be an extention of the first.
This means that all comments and questions stated at the previous meeting would still be considered by council and would not need to be repeated.
Instead, the meeting would allow for additional concerns, comments or questions to come forward from those who have not yet spoken or those who have new views.
Council is also going to seek further information from the Thompson-Nicola Regional District regarding the matter.
While the date for the meeting has not yet been decided, it will take place towards the beginning of November. All information, concerns and questions are asked to be submitted to the village office no later than Oct 30.
