A semi truck loaded with wooden pallets caught on fire Thursday, August 4. The truck, which was westbound on Highway 1, pulled over after the intersection across from Tim Hortons when the driver noticed the fire. The Golden Fire Department was on scene at 3:30 a.m. to extinguish the blaze and had to return at 7 a.m. The Fire Department left the scene at 10:30 a.m. The reason for the flame is still under investigation.
