A 75-year-old man fell to his death from the balcony of a seniors’ housing facility on Saturday in Maple Ridge.

Ridge Meadows RCMP were called to Willow Manor on 224th Street just before 11 a.m. after the senior toppled out from a second floor apartment.

He died at the scene.

The fall was not suspicious so RCMP are not investigating his death. Police have turned the case over to the B.C. Coroner’s Service.

“This is a very unfortunate incident,” said Insp. Dave Fleugel.

“There is no sign of any foul play.”
