Victoria the American pitbull went missing in the Sunshine Valley last week and her owner is desperate to get her back.
Kurt Hurt was traveling from Calgary on Highway 3 Monday at around 11:30 p.m. when he said he had a mishap on the road close to Manning Park. During the commotion, his dog Victoria ran off.
Hurt got a ride with two Hope residents to the Fraser Canyon Hospital for stitches.
Victoria, however, has been missing since. Hurt is now urgently appealing for the public’s help in finding his service animal and beloved pet.
“I need her home as she is not only my day-to-day living aide but my best friend in the world,” he wrote.
Victoria is described as a dark grey, bluish American pit bull with a white line down her face and white on her chest. She has cropped ears, Hurt said they were cropped before he got her, and weighs roughly 70 to 80 lbs.
Hurt said she is a happy, energetic dog who loves children and all people. However, she could experience panic and anxiety if she feels she is in trouble.
Hurt urged anyone with information about Victoria to contact him via Facebook (Kurt Hurt) or email (bigbamboostudios@gmail.com).
