One man is injured following an early morning shooting in the Rutland area.
The Kelowna RCMP responded July 25 at 10:10 a.m. to a report of a shooting that had just occurred in the 2700 block of Highway 97 North. Police have learned that the male victim was shot in a lower limb and was then transported by a witness to hospital.
“RCMP are searching for a vehicle, a lowered grey full sized GMC SUV, in which investigators believe may have been involved in this incident,” said Const. Jesse O’Donaghey, in a press release.
“The investigation is in its early stages, however the RCMP do not believe that this was a random attack. The Kelowna RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) continue to investigate.”
