Shoplifter agrees to pay for items

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 26 calls for service on February 23, 2017.

Here are some of the calls:

A group was reported to be consuming alcohol in an alleyway near Lazelle Avenue. Police made patrols.

Police received a report of a person being loud and causing a disturbance on Pear Street. A man was located by police and found to be breaching his probation conditions. He was arrested, at which time he became resistant and a struggle ensued. He was held for court.

A man was reported to be selling drugs. Under investigation.

A woman reported being harassed while walking her dog. Under investigation.

Police responded to a report of an intoxicated man on Lakelse Avenue. The man was arrested for Cause a Disturbance and lodged in cells to sober up safely.

Drugs were seized during a traffic stop.

A residential alarm sounded on Loen Avenue. Police attended and determined it to be false.

Two people were arrested for theft at a business on Hwy 16 W. Both released on a promise to appear in court.

A man was reported to be passed out on Lakelse Avenue at Emerson Street. He was transported to hospital.

Police were called to a break and enter on Medeek Avenue. Officers attended and detained a woman who was known to the homeowner. Under investigation.

A man and woman were arguing in a parking lot on Park Avenue. Police made patrols. No one was located.

A man was being disruptive at a property on Rose Avenue. Police attended. The man agreed to leave.

Police responded to a report of a man passed out under a tree on Davis Avenue. He was gone when police arrived.

An intoxicated man was passed out in front of an address on Kenney Street. He was arrested for Cause a Disturbance and lodged in Terrace RCMP detachment cells to sober up safely.

A woman was reported shoplifting at a business on Lakelse Avenue. She agreed to pay for the items. The woman was intoxicated and subsequently arrested for Causing a Disturbance. She was lodged in cells to sober up safely.

A breach of protection order was reported; unsubstantiated.

A woman contacted police requesting assistance with a tenant. She was advised to contact police should anything criminal occur.

Police responded to a panic alarm at the shelter. A man was arrested for Cause a Disturbance. He was lodged in cells to sober up safely.

An intoxicated man was reported to be walking on Kalum Street. Police attended. The man was taken to the hospital due to his level of intoxication. He was later released from hospital and lodged in cells to sober up safely.

A youth was reported to be intoxicated on Lakelse Avenue. Police attended and determined the youth to also be breaching conditions. The youth was arrested and held for court.

Police received a noise complaint. They spoke with a man who apologized.

An intoxicated man was being disruptive at the shelter. Police attended; the man was gone.
