Knick-knack Jack Jack Darling leans on the vehicular love of his life, a 1950 Ford Coupe he's owned since he was 21. Darling, known by some on the car show circuit as as knick-knack Jack, has hung on to his beloved hot rod for 37 years. There were times, he says, when one of the four motors he swapped out proved so frustrating he thought about selling the show stopper. The chopped and customized car has also had five paint jobs and has more than 300,000 miles on it. Under the hood it has a 350 small block with a Cadillac four-speed automatic and '355 gears.' 'And it's never left me stranded in 37 years,' Darling said.
