Thousands of people young and old lined Beacon Avenue and Second Street to watch the Sidney Sparkles Christmas Parade and Sailpast.
They sat on chairs and on the curb, balanced on flower planters and hopped on benches to catch the sights as dozens of trucks rolled through town.
Later, 14 boats did pirouettes in front of Tulista Park for the lighted boat SailPast. Out on the fishing pier, crowds sang Christmas carols as they watched the vessels pass by.
