Signing off one last time

After 40 years, well-known Kelowna television weatherman and broadcaster Mike Roberts delivers his last five-day forecast.

Popular Kelowna television weatherman and broadcaster Mike Roberts has delivered his last forecast.

Roberts, a mainstay at Kelowna television station CHBC – now Global Okanagan –  for the last 40 years, called it a career Friday.

Following an on-air look back over the years with news anchor Rick Webber, with whom Roberts worked for 22 years, current and former station employees gathered on set during the last few minutes of the live evening newscast to watch Roberts deliver his last weather forecast.

The broadcast ended with applause and cheers for Roberts from his colleagues.
