About 20 Victoria and Saanich homes are without power this morning after a single vehicle crash early this morning in the 2900-block of Quadra St.
Victoria police says a small compact car collided with a hydro pole around 12:30 a.m. The driver, a 27-year-old Victoria man, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and had to be removed by firefighters with the jaws of life.
VicPD’s collision team believe alcohol and speed are considered contributing factors.
Power in the area of Quadra and Tolmie streets is expected to be restored by 3 p.m. today, according to B.C. Hydro.
