Parnveer Randhawa told CBC News he was sleeping when the fire started.
“I look out my window. I thought it was like a solar eclipse or something, and then I saw all these flames going off. And after that, I started yelling … I’m just going through the hallways, waking everyone up, [and] rushed outside.”
Crews estimate there is close to $1 million damage to the two homes. The cause of the fire is not known.

The heater ignited what is believed to have been a propane leak, causing a huge explosion. One of the men who was inside the vehicle suffered first and second degree burns, and may have suffered injuries from the blast. There’s no word on injuries the other man’s injuries.
