Unprovoked assault saw a man get out of a car and hit a woman over the head on Industrial Avenue on May 3.

Langley RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man who assaulted a woman walking on Industrial Avenue in the early morning of May 3.

Around 2 a.m., a woman was walking west on Industrial Avenue when a brown two-door vehicle pulled up beside her.  There were two men in the vehicle and the passenger asked if she would like a ride home.  When she refused and continued walking, the passenger exited the vehicle and hit her on the back of the head.

She got to her feet and ran to a nearby gas station where she called her husband for assistance.

The victim has helped police create a composite sketch of the suspect.  He is further described as Caucasian, 5’10”, 180 lbs., skinny, wearing a light coloured plaid shirt.  He had wavy hair nearly touching his collar bone.

Police are asking you to study the sketch and if you are able to assist police in any way with this investigation, call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
