Skip the parking, take transit to Peachfest

  • Aug. 6, 2017 7:00 a.m.

With all the great entertainment coming to Peach Festival, who wants to worry about finding a parking spot.

The City of Penticton and BC Transit are making it easier for people to get to and from the 2017 Peach Festival by offering additional service on Route 5 (Main Street) for the duration of the festival, including Saturday-level service on Sunday, Aug. 13.

Between Wednesday, Aug. 9 and Sunday, Aug. 13, Route 5 will run late into the evening, with the last bus leaving the festival site at 11:41 p.m. on all five days. Buses will use Veterans Way from Front Street, then turn left onto Lakeshore Drive. There will be a temporary bus stop at Okanagan Lake Park (on Veterans, just before Lakeshore).

Regular fares will apply. For more information, service updates and alerts in Penticton, please visit bctransit.com/south-okanagan-similkameen.
