Snow falls in Abbotsford

Rain is predicted by Environment Canada later this week

The first snow of the winter season greeted Abbotsford and Mission residents Monday morning, and one to three centimetres of white stuff is expected to fall by Tuesday.

Environment Canada predicts continued snowfall today, with temperatures warming by Thursday, which will bring rain.

No schools are closed in either community.

As of this morning, no weather-related motor vehicle accidents were reported to Abbotsford Police, said Const. Ian MacDonald, who also offered some words of warning to drivers.

“People need to make sure their vehicle is prepared for the conditions and to take their drive slowly.”
