Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Fraser Valley west region, including Abbotsford and Mission for today (Thursday).
Total amounts of 10 to 15 centimetres are expected to fall.
The warning was issued at 7:33 a.m. this morning, and follows one that was issued for the Fraser Valley central and east regions, which includes Chilliwack and Hope.
According to the warning, a Pacific storm offshore will spread snow to the western Fraser Valley this morning. Rain currently falling over the area will change over to snow later this morning as temperatures fall to the freezing mark.
Travellers are advised to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating conditions on the roads.
