Environment Canada is calling for five to 10 centimetres of snowfall in Penticton this evening.
The forecast is calling for 40 per cent chance of flurries this morning with snow expected to fall late this afternoon. Tonight five to 10 centimetres of snow and temperatures steady at -4 C.
A snowfall warning was also issued for those travelling as a Pacific front will move onto the B.C. coast today and snow will begin this afternoon. There is a risk that freezing rain will occur, mainly from Chilliwack and west. Higher snowfall accumulations are possible near Hope.
The Coquihalla Summit will receive 15 to 20 cm of snow before the system moves through on Sunday morning.
