Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Saturday.
Snowfall with accumulations up to five centimetres are expected, especially at higher elevations and eastern sections of Metro Vancouver.
Bands of precipitation – a mix of snow and rain will continue into Sunday as temperatures hover around freezing.
As a result of the storm, the Alex Fraser Bridge was shut down due to falling ice – the second time in a week that snow accumulated enough to cause a danger when falling from the bridge’s cables.
