About 50 people showed up for the City of Grand Forks’ first community engagement conversation event at Omega Restaurant Wednesday.

The event, which was a collaboration with the Association of Kootenay Boundary Local Governments (AKBLG), featured a host and a number of props such as stickers, dots, poster boards and more, all designed to get a diverse group of residents to work together.

The citizens came up with different ideas on what needs to be improved in the City and ways to go about those plans.
