‘Sophisticated’ marijuana grow-op dismantled by Victoria police in Esquimalt home

One man arrested in connection with 400-plant operation in Parklands neighbourhood



Victoria police dismantled a 400-plant marijuana operation at a residence in the 900-block of Parklands Avenue on July 18.

The plants were capable of producing a crop valued at $500,000 annually, according to a police statement.

The Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant around 6 p.m. and arrested a 62-year-old man at the residence. The home appeared otherwise unoccupied and the man was not known to police.
