The complainant advised that she was cleaning her deck when her daughter closed the sliding door, which caused the locking mechanism to shift into the lock position. The complainant was concerned as her daughter was climbing on furniture and placing household items into her mouth. The main door into the residence was locked at the time of the incident and the building manager was unable to attend to unlock the suite. Police were eventually able to gain entry into the suite via an unlocked window and both the complainant and her daughter were unharmed.

The complainant stated that she did not provide any additional personal details and that her financial accounts were not affected. Police advised the complainant to make a report to the appropriate sources and report this incident to her bank.
