Speeding driver taken to hospital for rolling car

Speed and dangerous driving behavior appear to be the main factors in Glenmore Road crash.

A Peachland woman was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries after a single vehicle rollover Tuesday morning on Glenmore Road.

The Kelowna RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover on Glenmore Road just past the dog park, June 5 just before 8:30 a.m.

“Witnesses said that a silver Jeep Cherokee had been driving erratically northbound along Glenmore Road before losing control and rolling several times,” said Const. Kris Clark.

“The driver, a 27 year old woman from Peachland, was taken to the hospital by BC Ambulance Service for apparent non-life threatening injuries.”

Speed and dangerous driving behavior appear to be the main factors in the crash. Alcohol is not suspected.

The driver was ticketed for Driving Without Due Care and Attention and faces a fine of $368.
