QUALICUM BEACH — Qualicum Beach likely won’t see any development on the low bank lands running between the Memorial Golf Course and Highway 19A.
That message came out loud and clear at a special council meeting to discuss the input given over the course of a series of meetings to revise the official community plan.
In a report to council, town staff urged rejection of the request, noting the land is not serviced by any utilities and the steep slope has significant geotechnical issues.
Council voted to accept the recommendation.
