STILL SWIMMING STRONG: Qualicum Beach resident Terry Welch celebrated her 98th birthday last Thursday at the RDN’s Ravensong Aquatic Centre, with balloons and a cake provided by the centre for the occasion. Welch still swims at the pool every Tuesday and Thursday morning, and has been coming to Ravensong since it opened in 1995. “I really enjoy it,” she said. She then added with a laugh: “It just takes me a little longer to get dressed now.”
