After claiming Game three in the VIJHL finals last night, the Campbell River Storm are on the verge of closing out the series and the league title in four straight tonight at home.
The Storm beat the Cougars 2-1 in Victoria last night on the strength of a first period goal by Tyler Welsh and the game winner by Michael Olsen at 14:59 of the third period.
The Cougars had a chance to tie the game at the 18 minute mark of the third when Gage Colpron was called for a delay of game penalty but the Storm hung on for the win.
Tonight’s game goes at 7:30 at the Rod Brind’Amour Arena.
