Stranger asks Langley boy to come home with him

Langley RCMP confirm eight-year-old confronted by stranger wearing black hoodie and black gloves. Luckily the boy ran away.

A Langley Meadows mom is grateful she stressed stranger danger to her eight-year-old son just two days before a stranger attempted to take him near the Willowbrook school on Friday, April 7.

Langley RCMP confirm that around 1:50 p.m., the boy was walking through the park near Langley Meadows Elementary when he was approached by a man wearing a black hoodie, with the hood up and black gloves.

He told the boy that his mom said it was OK for him to go home with him.

Luckily, the boy ran away screaming and back to his school where he stayed with a teacher in her classroom. Langley police patrolled the area but didn’t find anyone, said Langley RCMP Cpl. Holly Largy.

The suspect is described as non-Caucasian, with black gloves and black hoodie. Langley Meadows is located at 2244 Willoughby Way.
