On Oct. 13 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the University of Northern British Columbia, the Nechako Watershed Roundtable and Strategy Initiative will launch its strategy for protecting and improving the Nechako watershed’s health for generations to come.
So far, the initiative involved community surveys of watershed health and produced a health report and atlas of the region’s water system — a report that includes 20 indicators such as water quality and quantity, fish and wildlife, ecosystems, resource development, and resource conservation.
