Lac la Hache and 108 Mile Volunteer Fire Departments respond

Lac la Hache Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Doyle Road at 12:52 p.m. on May 25. No one was injured as the occupants were not home. The fire was located and extinguished in the basement of the house.

Lac la Hache Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Doyle Road at 12:52 p.m. on May 25. No one was injured as the occupants were not home. The fire was located and extinguished in the basement of the house.

Lac la Hache Volunteer Fire Department (LLHVFD) and 108 Mile Volunteer Fire Department (108 VFD) responded to a structure fire on Doyle Road on May 25.

LLHVFD responded to a call at 12:52 p.m. from neighbours of a Doyle Road residence that could hear fire alarms going off in the house.

Firefighters arrived on scene with three trucks and 11 personnel.

Fire crews entered the house and located the fire in the southeast corner of the basement. They were able to contain and extinguish the fire.

There was damage to the walls and ceiling.

There were no injuries as the occupants were not home at the time, and there was no damage to surrounding properties.

108 VFD arrived on scene to provide mutual aid with two tenders and six personnel.

Emergency crews were on site for four hours with additional aid from BC Hydro, and local police and ambulance crews.
