Summerland Chamber awards nominees honoured

Nominees for the 77th Business and Community Excellence Awards were honoured at a reception on Friday evening.

Nominees for the 77th Business and Community Excellence Awards were honoured at a reception on Friday evening. A total of 53 nominations were received in 11 categories.

The nominations committee will now meet to decide on two finalists in each category. Members of the Summerland Chamber of Commerce will vote on the finalists.

The Citizen/Volunteer of the Year Award will be decided by the entire community, with one vote for each household. “It’s a community award,” said Christine Petkau, manager of the chamber. It will be up to the public.”

The awards gala will be held on Feb. 28.
