This was no Sunday drive.
A man ended up in hospital after going on a dangerous joyride near the busy intersection of Wilkinson and Interurban roads at 2:45 p.m., Dec. 4.
The driver was in a silver Nissan Maxima that was seen driving into oncoming traffic and doing donuts before trying to ram a police car.
Police tried to stop the car several times before the driver crashed in the 600 block of Wilkinson Place. A police dog was brought in to help arrest the man.
Several thousand dollars worth of property damage happened during the course of the joyride.
The driver is facing a number of charges, including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
Police are asking anyone who could shed some light on this incident to call the department at 250 475-4321.
