Surrey RCMP have released composite sketches of a suspect in a “violent robbery” that happened last month in the City Centre area.
On March 8th at 6:15 p.m., Surrey RCMP received a report of a personal robbery near the 10400-block of Whalley Boulevard.
A woman was held at knife point while her groceries and a few dollars in change were stolen, police say.
When police arrived on scene the suspect was gone and police have yet to find him. Investigators located traffic camera footage of the suspect running away however identification was not possible.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian or Asian male, 25 to 35 years old, five feet seven to eight inches tall with dark brown hair. He was wearing a black hoody, black pants, and a black bandana with white floral and/or polka dots covering his mouth and nose.
“Thankfully the victim was not physically injured, however this was a terrifying event for the victim and had the potential to become very serious,” says Corporal Scotty Schumann. “If you recognize this suspect please contact the Surrey RCMP as soon as possible.”
